St. Patrick’s Will Begin Live Streaming 10 am Services on Sunday, March 15

Greetings to all on this Third weekend of Lent,

St. Pat’s leadership has been discussing how to best implement the new health and safety measures as we move through the COVID-19 epidemic. This weekend we will be holding our regular Sunday service at 10am for all who wish to attend. We have plenty of hand sanitizer and our supply priest, Art Kingdon, knows the new protocol for the distribution of Communion.  Because we want to take the best precautions for all, we are putting Children’s Ministry on hold until after Easter.

For those who wish to stay home, which we encourage, we will be live-streaming our service via Facebook Live.  Gratefully, we learned that One License has granted temporary license for streaming all music which has already been planned through April 15 (through Easter). This allows us to broadcast our entire service live.

In order to access this live stream, there are 3 methods you can use to watch our service.

  1. Log into Facebook on your computer or smart phone app.  If you have already “liked” our Facebook page, you should receive a notification that we have begun alive stream.  Click on that notification, and it will take you to the live stream.  If you haven’t already “liked” our page, you can go to this link: https://www.facebook.com/stpatsbrewer/ where the live stream can also be found.
  2. If you don’t have a Facebook account, go to our website and click on the “Watch today’s service now” link. It will take you to the Facebook Live feed.  You do not need a Facebook account to watch this feed.
  3. After the service is completed, the recorded stream will be available on our website and Facebook pages for viewing after service time.

Clergy and church leaders are in conference about our plan for upcoming Sunday and other services.  We will be disseminating that information as decisions are made.  We plan on live streaming whatever worship takes place on Facebook Live at least until Holy Week. Please stay tuned for more information.

God of the present moment,

God who in Jesus stills the storm

and soothes the frantic heart;
bring hope and courage to all
who wait or work in uncertainty.

Bring hope that you will make them the equal

of whatever lies ahead.

Bring them courage to endure what cannot be avoided,

for your will is health and wholeness;

you are God, and we need you.

This we pray in Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Peace be with you,

St. Patrick’s Leadership
