Annual Meeting is January 31
By now you have received by mail notice of the Annual Meeting scheduled for January 31 with instructions and notice of further instructions and when they will be sent for our on-line meeting due to Covid restrictions. If for any reason you did not receive the notification or have questions, please contact Warden Peg Olson at email@example.com.
At their January meeting the Outreach Committee decided to focus on the theme of gratitude this year. To start the year we are inviting all members of the congregation to take time to think of one thing each day for which they are grateful/thankful. Some people already keep a gratitude journal. If you are not interested in keeping a journal it was suggested that writing a simply note or a word on the calendar would work quite well. It doesn’t have to be a big thing. For example you might record that you heard a special song, received a call or a note, enjoyed a walk or a sunny day. This is not intended to be a burdensome practice. Perhaps writing a few things once a week works best for you. Thank you for being willing to consider participating in this activity. Each month a member of the Outreach Committee will share some things for which they are grateful.
In January Pat shares that some of the things for which she is grateful: Ben’s recovery from Covid 19. David’s help washing dishes, veterinarians, a quiet day and “To go shopping.”
Good news for those who wish to give to St. Pat’s online
We have heard that the Diocese has created a more sophisticated donation tab.
Please note two changes made to the user end of the platform:
- There is a drop-down field on the form now to indicate if a gift is being made “In Honor” or “In Memory” of someone and their name. It comes after the donation frequency question.
- The Diocese website has added a “Comments or Special Instructions” field to the form. It comes after payment information. This is a place where a donor could indicate if this is a pledge payment, donation to the food pantry, outreach etc and any details.
Thank you for being responsive to our needs, tech folk of Diocesan Staff!
