NEWS FROM THE OUTREACH COMMITEE
As we begin our year of Gratitude, the Outreach committee is looking for a few folks to donate towards our bag lunches for the homeless. At this point, all that is needed are individual bags of chips and a wrapped dessert of some form. We will deliver40 bags to Columbia St. Church on March 7th. Items can be dropped off at St. Pats by Sat March 6th. Please email ellenfisher@hotmail.com if you would like to help out.
To follow Pat Blethen’s expression of gratitude last month, I would like to share that I am thankful to be able to get my first Covid vaccine – even though it was in the middle of a blizzard!
Michelle is grateful for being able to still have both of her jobs. While changes have been necessary she still gets to go to both of them ( St Joseph’s ER and Courage Lives). She is grateful for all of her wonderful co-workers as they support each other like family. She is grateful that she doesn’t feel isolated.
Journals will be sent to the Beck and Ouellette children so that they can express in their own way, times that they are happy with life. If anyone wants to send a note to them or a member of our congregation, we think it would be much appreciated.
Scripture to contemplate this week (from Pat Blethen)
Live under the protection
of God Most High
and stay in the shadow
of God All-Powerful.
Then you will say to the Lord,
“You are my fortress
my place of safety;
you are my God
and I trust you.”
Psalm 91: 1-2 (CEV)
